Just as the rain hit Barnesville three teenagers’ short ride to the city pool ended badly, putting one in the back of an ambulance headed to Spalding Regional Medical Center. At about 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, a late model, grey, Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Collier Drive with three teenagers riding on its trunk. Reckless driving caused one teen (a 13-year-old male) to fall off of the trunk to the pavement. He sustained an injury to his head as well as lacerations to his arms and legs. The other two “passengers” were unhurt. Charges against the driver are pending and will be filed after further investigation by Barnesville Police Department.
