Tempers flare at tax assessors meeting

Conflict may not have been on the agenda but it was heavy in the air March 11 at the regular meeting of the reconstituted Board of Assessors.The meeting opened with an effort to block vice-chairman Aaron Brown from acting as chairman and deteriorated from there.The animosity came two days after Brown took the podium at the commission meeting, telling a convoluted story in which he referred to the actions of his fellow assessors as “BS”.
