The LC Tennis Trojans are undefeated in region play after two wins last week and sit atop the 4AA standings with a perfect 4-0 mark. The Trojans swept NE Macon March 18. At #1 singles, Jackson Bankston routed NE’s John Lewis 8-0. At #2 singles, LC’s Connor Jett swept the Cavaliers’ Eric Wade 8-0. Grant Kendrick, playing #3 singles for Lamar, also routed his opponent Jaylen Freeman 8-0. In doubles action, LC’s #1 tandem of Cameron Lipps and Bobby Holmes secured an 8-0 blitzing of NE’s Malik Jones and TrayQuaz Bass 8-0. Lamar’s #2 doubles tandem of Gabe Parker and Brett Clark took an 8-3 win over David Jones and D’Aijon Williams. On St. Patrick’s Day, the Trojans routed Macon County. Bankston, Jett and Kendrick were singles action winners while the tandems of Lipps and Holmes and Parker and Clark also booked victories. The Trojans face off with Bleckley County Wednesday for the #1 seed in the region tournament which is coming up April 14.
