Mr. Terry James ‘Dank’ Watkins Jr. 41, of Griffin, Ga., passed away on June 15, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Decatur, Ga., of unknown causes.He was the son of the late Mr. Terry James Watkins Sr. and Mrs. Thelma A. Watkins of Barnesville.He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Zina; his mother, Thelma; a son, Malcolm Cunningham of Atlanta; stepson, Keith R. Scott, of Griffin, Ga.; three sisters, Teresa A. (John) Wills of Augusta, Ga.; Sherry L. (Joe) Fuller of Hampton, Ga.; Deborah (Sherman) Brown of Barnesville, Ga.; two brothers, Terry L. Howard of Barnesville, Ga., and Tyrone Howard of Augusta, Ga.; 14 nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, one great-great aunt, six brothers- and sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.Terry, the youngest child, was born July 18, 1970 in Barnesville, Ga., and was a 1988 graduate of Lamar County High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1988 and was a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War. Terry, a loving son, brother, father, and husband, will truly be missed by his family and friends.Funeral services were held on June 22, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, 702 Johnstonville Road in Barnesville with interment in the church cemetery.
