Terry Whitley Tant

Mr. Terry Whitley Tant, age 58, of Barnesville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2013.A native of Griffin, Mr. Tant was the son of the late Mr. Ray Whiteley Tant and Mrs. Dorothy Helen Hamlin Tant Keebler. Mr. Tant was an HVAC specialist with the Henry County board of education and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church where he and his wife Ginger had taught Sunday school for about 10 years. He was a hard worker and was always a very kind and generous man. Mr. Tant was a Christian man who always had a warm smile for everyone. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing but his first love was his wife and son.Mr. Tant is survived by his wife of 34½ years, Ginger Tant of Barnesville; his son, Jeremiah Whitley Tant of Barnesville; his mother, Dorothy Keebler; two brothers, Roger (and Connie) Tant of Conyers and Danny Tant of Barnesville; his sister, Rachel Evans of Griffin; his mother-in-law, June Bartlett of Barnesville; two sisters-in-law, Judy (and Danny) Williams of Barnesville and Lisa (and David) Dawson of Barnesville; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Mr. Terry Tant will be conducted Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Midway Baptist Church with the Reverends Ken Burk and Davy Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
