Thompson, Lance lead Diamond Trojans to win #2

Bailey Thompson reached base four times in as many at bats and Gavin Lance pitched five innings allowing just one run as Lamar County beat Marion County Thursday to go to 2-0 in the 6th Annual Bringing The Heat Central Georgia Baseball Tournament at Aldora Field.Lamar and Howard were the only two unbeaten teams in the pool after day two of the tourney. The winner of today’s game between the Trojans and Huskies will likely play for the tournament title Saturday afternoon at Aldora Field. Josh Heflin’s inside the park grand slam highlighted a six run fifth inning for the JV Diamond Trojans who came from five runs down to beat Westside Macon 6-5.
