Three big rigs stolen here

A raid by Atlanta police on a chop shop in the metro area Tuesday night turned up three tractor-trailer rigs stolen in Lamar County, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Major Brad White of the LCSO reported the big rigs were taken from the huge facility on I-75 in Lamar built by a failed Macon trucking company and then occupied in succession by Sagon Motor Homes and Bleakley RV, both of which also closed down. White said Lamar and Butts deputies caught one of the thieves on the interstate after getting a call from the Peterbilt security guard. The suspect is a homeless man.
