Three charged after yet another Spalding shooting

Three people have been arrested on various charges after a drug-related shooting that wounded a 27-year-old man Sunday night at a residence on Rawls Road in Spalding County. Release from Capt. Tony Ranieri of the Spalding sheriff’s office follows…. A 27 year old man is recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital after being shot during an altercation at a residence on Rawls Road late Sunday night. According to Sheriff Stewart officers were called to 401 Rawls Road in western Spalding County reference to a person shot. When officers arrived they located the 27 year old victim and several other persons in the front yard of the residence. Stewart stated that patrol officers provided assistance to the victim and other officers took three others into custody until the incident could be sorted out by investigators. Stewart stated that investigators arrived on the scene and after obtaining a search warrant began to reconstruct the crime scene of the events that happened. During the search of the residence weapons, money and drugs were located. Investigators found that the incident was drug related as well as a dispute between the 27 year old victim and John Andrew Puckett 30 years old of 401 Rawls Road. Puckett has been charged with Aggravated Assault; Reckless Conduct; Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Less than 1 ounce of Marijuana. Puckett is being held in the Spalding County Jail. Other arrest included Kerri Anne Bankston 35 years old of 401 Rawls Road. Bankston has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of less than 1 ounce of Marijuana. Angela ‘Angel’ McGuire who is the girlfriend of the victim was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. The investigation continues and investigators have stated that more arrests will be made.
