Three drug arrests in Monroe Co.

Monroe County sheriff’s deputies have made three drug arrests. On Feb. 27, 2013 Investigators with the Forsyth/Monroe Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at 327 Bunn Road, Forsyth, on the suspicion that methamphteamine was being manufactured at the location. Investigators did locate 22 grams (about 3/4 ounce) of suspected methamphetamine as well as “lab” equipment and materials. Arrested were Clint Lee Nalley, 26 and Christy Lynn Atkinson, 31, of Forsyth. Both have been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. They were denied bond and remain in the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Jail. ************* On February 28, 2013, drug investigators with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a short foot chase that lead to the arrest of a Macon man believed to have been attempting to sell marijuana near Kimball Street in the city of Forsyth. Terance Bernard Parks, 26, of Macon, attempted to elude investigators by running down Adams Street then to Jackson Street before being apprehended near North Lee Street. Parks was in possession of 18 bags of marijuana and a digital scale. Upon further investigation Sheriff’s Office investigators learned that the suspect also had warrants in Monroe and Bibb Counties. After a preliminary investigation a search warrant was served on the hotel room Banks was renting at the Tradewinds Motel in Forsyth where investigators found a firearm hidden between the mattresses of a bed in the room. Parks is being charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, obstructing and interfering with a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Banks has a $20,000 bond and at the time of this release remains incarcerated at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Jail. -Allison Selman-Willis
