Three injured in Hwy. 41 crash

A three-car collision on Hwy. 41 north of Barnesville at its intersection with the Hwy. 36 bypass injured three people Monday afternoon. All three victims were taken by ambulance to area hospitals. Emergency personnel en route home to other counties from the Britton Cauthen (see post below) funeral worked the 5:30 p.m. crash with black mourning tape still on their badges. All three victims were conscious on the scene and none of the injuries is thought to be life-threatening. The crash involved two compact cars and one older model truck. One car and the truck bore Lamar plates. The other car had an Upson County tag. The crash, which is being worked by the Georgia State Patrol, snarled traffic for about 45 minutes.
