Training delays grand jury work

With multiple high profile cases on its docket, the June term Lamar grand jury hit a snag due to a training session. The grand jury was empaneled Monday but heard just a few cases before adjourning until next Monday. District attorney Richard Milam said he sought the change because he wanted assistant district attorney Matt Bridges, who works extensively in Lamar, to attend training sessions presented by the Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia this week.
