A trash truck was largely destroyed early Wednesday after an engine fire. The truck was collecting refuse in the 100 block of Holmes Street when it went up at dawn. ”Thankfully, it was the engine that burned and not the trash receptacle area. The truck engine and cab are a total loss,” BFD chief Kelvin Chute reported. There were no injuries.
