By Kay S. PedrottiElizabeth Sellers of Barnesville is not 90 years old anywhere except on her birth certificate, but she celebrates that milestone on Oct. 19.Author of The Herald Gazette’s Flashback feature on the editorial page, Sellers spends hours with old newspapers and microfilm, looking for noteworthy items from as long ago as 100 years. In an interesting legacy reversal, she’s following in the footsteps of her grandson Ben Sellers, who started the Flashback during his internship with the newspaper almost 10 years ago.Ben’s grandmother and Elizabeth’s mother, Evelyn Bush, wrote the Barnesville Personals for many years, Sellers says. A large scrapbook in the Sellers home on Stafford Street chronicles events in the lives of her mother and father, who was pharmacist Jack Bush, mayor of Barnesville at the time when Lamar County was created.
