The annual Trojan Cup soccer tournament gets underway today at Trojan Field as Lamar County hosts Callaway. The girls play at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m. Friday Griffin and Westside Macon do battle beginning at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday Lamar will play Westside at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and Griffin at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Trojan Field while Griffin and Callaway meet at 9 and 11 and Callaway and Westside play at 2 and 4 at the Trojan Athletic Complex field behind Lamar County Middle School. Lamar County opened the soccer season Tuesday against Peach County in Fort Valley. The Lady Trojans played to a 2-2 draw while the Trojans fell 9-1.
