Trojan spirit on display at Soap Game

A good crowd was on hand for the Soap Game scrimmage August 7 at the new Trojan Field. In the first game, the Lamar County Middle School Trojans got steady quarterback play from Lance Austin, two touchdowns for Lawrence Austin and another from McClevious Searcy as they waxed the ninth grade team 22-0. The varsity contest turned out to be a shootout featuring brothers Mike and Maurice Bloodser. Mike, a senior, quarterbacked the White team to a 21-14 win but Maurice, a freshman, held his own. Mike Bloodser hit Jadarious McCalla with a long touchdown pass as time was running out to ice the victory for the Whites.
