Thursday afternoon the students and faculty of Lamar County High School, Lamar County Middle School, Lamar County Elementary and Lamar County Primary as well as various civic organizations and community groups took to the streets for the annual homecoming parade. Featuring the homecoming court, Marching Trojan Band, the high school and middle school cheerleaders and the high school and middle school football teams, the parade was said to be the largest and best attended in years. Friday night’s homecoming football game will begin at 7:30 p.m. and pits the Trojans against Heard County at Trojan Field.
