The Lamar County Trojans qualified for the state tournament Wednesday with a 79-53 rout of the Monticello Hurricanes in the Region 4AA postseason gala played at NE Macon. Gregory Freeman’s Trojans rode their signature pressure defense to a 28-17 first period lead and never looked back. Camden Foster led the Trojans with 21 points.
