Trojans, Lady Trojans face postseason on court

The Region 5AA basketball playoffs continue Thursday at Pike County High School. Snow cancellations from Friday and Saturday delayed final standings and seedings and prevented coverage in the print edition of The Herald-Gazette. Thursday action begins at PCHS at 4 p.m. Thursday when the sixth-seeded Lamar Lady Trojans do battle with the #7 Manchester Lady Devils. At 5:30 p.m., the #7 Pike Pirates battle the #6 Crawford Co. Eagles in boys’ action. At 7 p.m., the #5 Pike Lady Pirates face off with the winner of Wednesday night’s Spencer-Callaway game. On Friday night, the action shifts to Macon County High in Montezuma and the #4 Lamar Trojans play either Macon Co., Heard County or Jordan at 5:30 p.m. For updates, check back here Friday morning.
