Three members of the Trojan football team have been named to the Class AA pre-season all state team. Georgia High School Football Daily chose running back Lawrence Austin, placekicker Tyler Scandrett and safety Qua Searcy to its all-state list. Veteran sportswriters Todd Holcomb and Chis Saye compile the list. They noted Trojan quarterback Lance Austin “might’ve made the team were his primary high school position not quarterback”. The Austin twins and Searcy have committed to play college football at Georgia Tech. The Georgia edition of Friday Night Football magazine picked the Trojans to finish second in Class AA this fall. They have Calhoun ranked #1, Lamar #2, Brooks County #3, Lovett #4 and Heard County #5. Searcy and the Austin twins were made FNF’s first team all state list as defenders. They were also on the magazine’s third team defense list across all classifications.
