Jason Strickland’s Lamar County Trojans routed the Macon County Bulldogs 39-20 Friday night at Trojan Field. Maco got two scores late against the Trojan JV to make an otherwise lopsided score respectable. Tailback Nick Fambro scored twice for the Trojans as did quarterback Mike Bloodser who had his way with the Dog defense. With the win, the Trojans joined Callaway atop the Region 5AA standings at 2-0. Other region scores from Friday night: Callaway 38 Spencer 7 Manchester 41 Crawford Co. 12. Heard County 34 Pike Co. 18. Lamar does battle with the Jordan Red Jackets in a rare Thursday night matchup this week. The Red Jackets were off Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Kinnett Stadium in Columbus.
