Trojans score at state track meet

Adrian Butler and Fredrick Walker earned points for the Lamar County High School track team at the state meet in Jefferson Thursday.Butler finished seventh in the high jump at 6′ 2″ while Walker was seventh in the discus with a throw of 137′ 5″.Rodnique Brown also competed in the high jump but did not score points.The four points earned put the Trojans in 11th place in Class AA for the meet.Today the 1600 meter relay team of Butler, Brandon Higdon, Desmond Foster and Samuel Smith will compete as will Anthony Slaughter in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles and the 110 meter high hurdles.
