Lamar County has canceled its annual Blue/White spring intra-squad scrimmage that had been scheduled to take place Tuesday night, May 22 at Trojan Field. In an e-mail sent to Trojan Gridiron Club members, booster club president Steve Selsor explained that the game was canceled due to limited practice time because of the success of the track team that included five key football players including quarterback Lance Austin, running backs Lawrence Austin, Antwan Wallace and Jeremy Fletcher and safety Quay Searcy who all competed in the state championship meet last weekend. The team will have a practice at the stadium today beginning at four o’clock and the public is invited to watch at no charge.
