Are you ready for some football? The Lamar County High School gridiron Trojans will wrap up two weeks of spring practice with the annual Blue/White intra-squad game Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Trojan Field. The upcoming freshmen will scrimmage the middle school team to start things off followed by the varsity “game” which will consist of four eight minute quarters with no kicking game. Lamar County started out spring drills with some 150 middle school through varsity players being issued equipment. Those number have dwindled some but Trojan coach Jason Strickland says they have been pretty consistent with the number of players at practice each day. Admission to the spring game is $5.
