With all spring sports now completed, Lamar County sets its sights on fall. The Trojans started spring football practice Monday. Workouts will be held every day after school through Thursday this week and next. The drills will culminate with the annual Blue/White spring scrimmage Tuesday, May 24 at Trojan Field. Lamar County, 7-4 last season when they finished second in the region and made the state playoffs for the second year in a row, will have to revamp its defensive secondary. It loses four players who got considerable playing time last year.
