The Lamar County Board of Education has posted its school superintendent position as being open and has hired a consulting firm to screen candidates.Current superintendent Dr. Bill Truby confirmed Wednesday morning that he is retiring.The following notice appears on the school website:The Lamar County Board of Education, Barnesville, Georgia, is seeking a new superintendent.
