A large kennel on the property held 32 dogs without food or water and 18 pigs, according to investigator Chad Payne. Nine dead pigs were located. Multiple dogs and pigs were wandering the property. Two dogs were seen eating one of the dead pigs. Sheriff Brad White and his team on the scene were trying to determine what to do with the dogs. Search warrants were being obtained for a large house on the property that is in disrepair along with multiple outbuildings. Sheriff White identified those arrested as David Matthews and Tisha Matthews who reside in the home. The raid came about after a local teacher called authorities reporting she had bought a sick puppy or puppies from the kennel, the sheriff said.
