By Walter GeigerTwo locals were arrested March 27 as sheriff’s office personnel and Narcotics Task Force agents responded to multiple complaints of high traffic and possible drug sales at a residence at 107 Cameron Circle in Barnesville.When they arrived, officers smelled heavy odor of marijuana coming from the residence. They knocked on the door and, when it was opened, the odor of marijuana All the residents were asked to exit the residence and detained while a search warrant was issued. The subsequent search turned up two sets of scales and packaging materials but no drugs.The tenant, Rayshunda Colquitt, told the searchers the people in the residence arrived in a black, 1998 Honda Accord belonging to Katrina Marlynn Reid, 29, of 14 Ice Street. A search of the car was done after Sgt. Brett Newman’s K9 Paco alerted on the car.The subsequent search turned up two bags of marijuana in the center console and Reid was arrested for possession of marijuana. The others who had been in the residence were released but marijuana was located in the rear of Sgt. Lamar Bunn’s patrol car where Christopher Deonte Williams had been held. He admitted hiding it there.Williams, 22, of 103 11th Street was also charged with possession of marijuana.
