Two contested council races on Barnesville ballot

Mark R. Stone, 61, of 125 Georgia Avenue has qualified and will face incumbent Butch McDaniel in the Ward 5 Barnesville city council race in November.The Ward 4 race features four candidates: Neal Devane, Calvin Scandrett, Larry Whitworth and Bobby York.Ward 2 incumbent councilman Chris Hightower drew no opposition.
