Traffic on Veterans Parkway is snarled near Hot Shot and the Hwy. 36 bypass following a three vehicle collision. One vehicle is an Orkin truck. The driver of that vehicle is up and moving around.
Victims had to be extricated from two other vehicles which hit nearly head-on. The crash happened at about 9:20 a.m.
Two lifeflight choppers are on the scene.

At approximately 0921 hours, a three-vehicle collision occurred on Georgia Highway 7 near Old Georgia Highway 41 in Lamar County. A preliminary investigation determined that a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 31-year-old male from Senoia, and a 2009 Honda Accord, driven by a 17-year-old male from Griffin, were traveling southbound on Georgia Highway 7.
A 2005 Honda Accord, driven by a 30-year-old female from Griffin, was traveling northbound on Georgia Highway 7. For unknown reasons at this time, the driver of the 2005 Accord entered the southbound lanes of travel.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma made an evasive maneuver to the right to avoid the 2005 Accord. During the maneuver, the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned into the median. The Tacoma driver sustained minor injuries during the rollover.
The 2005 Accord continued northbound and struck the 2009 Accord head on in the right southbound lane of Georgia Highway 7. Both Accord drivers sustained life threatening injuries and had to be extricated from their vehicles by emergency personnel.
Both Accord drivers were flown by helicopter to Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon for treatment. All occupants were restrained during the collision. Speed, driver condition, and distracted driving are pending further investigation.
