Two segments offered at Lamar Arts kids’ camp

There will be two segments to the annual Lamar Arts Kid’s Camp this year. Both will run from June 10-14 and June 17-21, but this year students will be split into age groups. Lamar Arts Kid’s Camp 1 for ages 6-12 will run June 10-14 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Camp 2 will be June 17-21 at the same time for the same ages. Activities will include art, music, dance, and drama. Specific activities will be age-appropriate. Each week will cost $50. Lamar Arts Goes Hollywood, Camp 3, will be held June 10-14 and 17-21 from 2-5 p.m., ages 13-16 with a class of 10 to 20 students. It will present the basics of filmmaking such as writing, acting, filming, editing and showing the final result. The cost is $100. On the last day of each camp, parents, grandparents and sponsors are invited to come see the work campers have done and be entertained with a sampling of their activities. For Camps 1 and 2 this will run from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday. For Camp 3 the event will be from 4-5 p.m. Friday, June 21.
