Two-year-old burned in accident at The Rock Ranch

A two-year-old boy suffered second and third degree burns when he fell backwards into a bonfire at The Rock Ranch Saturday. The boy was lifeflighted to Grady Hospital after the incident and was resting comfortably there Monday evening, Jeff Manley of TRR reported. ’We are very sorry to confirm that a two-year-old child accidentally fell backward into a campfire on Saturday evening at The Rock Ranch. The young boy was with his family members when the accident occurred and our on-site emergency medical staff responded quickly and coordinated with supporting emergency personnel to arrange immediate life-flight helicopter transport to the burn center at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. We are not in a position to share any more details about the child’s condition or identity out of consideration for the family’s privacy. ”All of our family here at The Rock Ranch ask for prayers and support of this family at this time, and for the community to continue to keep this young boy in our thoughts and prayers as the burn center staff treats his injuries,” Manley said. The child is expected to recover.
