United Bank’s Northside branch in Griffin was robbed at 10:53 a.m. Monday. The robber, described as a white male, escaped with an undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen running toward the Wal-Mart shopping center. The northside branch is located at the intersection of highway 41 and 92. No one in the bank was injured. Investigator Brian Clanton of the Griffin PD. issued the following statement this afternoon: We are looking for the male in the pictures who is the suspect in this robbery. He is approximately six feet to six feet, three inches tall and weighs approximately 160 to 165 pounds. The clothing description is just as you see in the photographs.
