Vehicular homicide defendants must be arraigned again

The vehicular homicide cases against Bobbie Jo Sumner and Vivian Massey are set for a second arraignment in Lamar superior court in August. Their most recent indictments were their second due to errors so they must be arraigned a second time. Sumner is charged with first degree vehicular homicide and hit and run in connection with the June 29, 2013 death of Alexandra Noelle Desir. Desir, a Gordon State College student, was on her way to work at Huddle House from her dorm room when she was struck and killed on Rose Avenue in Barnesville. Massey is charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to stop at a stop sign in connection with a June 1, 2013 crash at the intersection of Johnstonville and Crawford roads that killed Pearl and John Kemp of Barnesville.
