Veteran drug dealer going back to prison

By Walter Geiger A 68-year-old Barnesville man is on his way back to prison after pleading guilty May 25 to selling prescription pain killers to a confidential informant. Herbert Jackson was sentenced to five years in prison for selling hydrocodone and oxycodone. The March 17 drug transactions were recorded on audio and video. Jackson is no stranger to the prison system. He is a four time loser. Jackson was last released from prison on May 19, 2003 after serving just over half of a five year sentence for sale and distribution of cocaine. He had previous convictions for cocaine offenses in the mid 1990s and was sentenced to a total of 11 years on those counts.
