Veteran public servant Morgan dead at 86

W.J. (Snap) Morgan died early Friday at his home in Milner. He was 86.Morgan was a current member of the Milner city council. He was a former mayor of Milner and former member of the Lamar County commission.He spent 25 years as human resources director at the Georgia Diagnostic Prison in Butts County. A WW II veteran, Morgan was a 50-year Mason and member of the local Pinta Lodge.Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.Visitation is at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church or following the funeral at Williams Funeral Home.
