Veterans Day observances were held at both LCES and LCHS Thursday morning but the main community observance is set for Friday at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Barnesville library.
The guest speaker will be Tim Dukes, an Air Force veteran who served in Europe and Southeast Asia. For a time, he was service manager at Moore Chevrolet.
