The community is invited to the Gordon College campus to view a celestial event Tuesday evening. Gordon professors Chad Davies and Richard Schmude will have several telescopes set up to view the planet Venus as it transits across the Sun between 6 and 7:15 p.m. Viewers may also bring their own telescopes but they must be set up before 6 p.m. when the transit is expected to begin. Lambdin Green is on the west side of the campus behind Lambdin Hall. Parking is available for this event only in the faculty and staff lot off Georgia Avenue. ’This is a fascinating event to watch,’ Schmude said.
