Mrs. Virginia Benson Davies, age 100, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Brightmoor Hospice. Mrs. Davies was born November 2, 1917. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Davies and parents, Claude and Mamie Benson. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Tom (Gene) Lewis of Tampa, Fla.; son and daughters-in law, Malcolm Davies of Macon, Jerry and Joyce Ann Davies of Griffin and Phil and Tina Davies of Barnesville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Benson Davies will be held Sunday, April 29 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1332 Zebulon Rd., Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Mrs. Davies.
