Virginia Frances Ellis

Mrs. Virginia Frances Ellis, age 87 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Westbury Medical Care Home.Mrs. Ellis was born in Griffin, Georgia on November 5, 1927. She is preceded in death by her parents Willis and Myrtle Crawford; husband Tillman Grant Ellis; son, Randy Ellis; grandson, Earl Grant Ellis; brother, Bobby Crawford. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, where she attended the Ladies Bible Class, Helped with the Nursing Home Ministry. She volunteered for the Red Cross and at the Jackson Road Elementary School.Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Bonny and Jim Shockley; grandchildren, James E. (Jes) Shockley, A. J. Shockley; sisters, Geraldine Norman, Gwendolyn Davis, Dorothy Ann Dye, Marlene Alford, Carol Morris English, Susan Allen; several nieces and nephews.Visitation for Mrs. Virginia Frances Ellis will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church. Following the visitation a funeral services will be in the sanctuary of Crestview Baptist Church.
