Barnesville . . . Virginia Ridling Hughes, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. The family will greet friends at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Burial will be in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Garth Forster will officiate. Mrs. Hughes, the daughter of the late Thomas Ridling and Jurrell Phillips Ridling was born April 3, 1929, in Newton County, Georgia. Her husband, William Walter Hughes, Jr., preceded her in death. She retired from Sears, was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville and a member of Red Hat Society. Survivors include her children, Trini Hughes of Forsyth, Brian (Kelly) Hughes of Barnesville and Mark (Susan) Hughes of Dacula; nine grandchildren, Keely (Allen) Small, Justin (Brittany) Poore, Megan (Jody) Osborne, Ron (Nicole) Brazas, Matthew (Jolee) Hughes, Hollie Brazas, Jared Hughes, Hunter Hughes and Hayley Hughes; and seven great grandchildren.
