Vote today!

Lamar countians have the opportunity to go to the polls today to cast ballots in the E-SPLOST referendum. If the referendum carries, a currently implemented one percent sales tax to fund education in the county would be continued. Polling places throughout the county will be open until 7 p.m. The issue drew light interest from early voters. The final count for advance voting was 282 early ballots cast and 28 absentee ballots with 12 returned on Friday afternoon. Check back here often tonight for realtime referendum results coverage.
