Two upcoming benefits by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6542 will help two local men. Keith Morris has been diagnosed with cancer and Bobby Waldroup is a diabetic with major complications. First up will be a chicken-cue for Waldroup at the VFW post on Saturday, Aug. 4 beginning at 11:30 a.m. It will be followed up by a benefit ride and poker run on Saturday, Aug. 18, aiming to raise funds for Morris and Waldroup.
