Ward four voters go to polls today

Voters in the City of Barnesville’s Ward 4 go to the polls today to cast ballots in a runoff that will determine who will represent them on the city council for the next four years. Larry Whitworth got the most votes in the general election November 3. He is battling in the runoff with general election runner-up Robert Neal Devane. The runoff drew little interest during the advance voting period last week. Only 38 citizens bothered to vote early and just 20 requested absentee ballots. The polling place at the Barnesville Civic Center is open today from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Complete, up-to-the-minute election results, provided by The Herald-Gazette, will be available here or by calling 770.358.NEWS.
