Bethel AME Church will hold a Domestic Violence and HIV/AIDS Awareness Rally, ‘We Want to Live,’ Saturday, Aug. 29. It will start at 8:30 a.m. with a unity march beginning at the E.P. Roberts Center.Activities will also include presentations, personal testimonies and information on domestic violence and HIV/AIDS. Throughout the rally there will be discussions on legal issues, gang violence, identity theft and more presented by various law enforcement agencies. The march will end at the courthouse for the first portion of the rally from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. At that time the march will go back to the EPRC. Upon return to the center, there will be a HIV/AIDS presentation made by Dr. Harold Katener, the leading AIDS prevention doctor in the country. A basic health presentation will be given by Dr. Clyde Green. .There will be free food, drinks and activities for children.
