Lamar County will see only rain – and not much of it – as Hurricane Isaac roars ashore along the Gulf Coast this week. Accuweather expert senior meteorologist Alex J. Sosnowski reported Monday Isaac-related rainfall could start overnight Monday and continue into Wednesday and, perhaps, Thursday. ”Rainfall in your area is likely to be on the order of 1-2 inches – not enough to cause widespread flooding but urban flooding issues are possible.
