The fledgling Lamar County Trojan wrestling team, coached by Jason Wicker, is holding its own in region action. You can see the Mat Trojans in action Friday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. as they take on Crawford County and Upson-Lee here. The Trojans recently defeated Baldwin 40-39. Roshondrick Flynt, Zach Lawson, Tyler Redding, Sedtavious Piercy, Aaron Head and Nick Levinson all had wins against Baldwin. J.D. Moore and Lawrence Austin held their own against two returning state tournament wrestlers, each getting pinned in late in the third period. In an earlier loss to Monticello, Lawson, Redding and Nick Heminger all had pins.
