William Edward Jackson

Mr. William Edward ‘Bill’ Jackson, age 76, of Yatesville passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Jackson was a native of Cartersville and was the son of the late Mr. Edward Jackson and the late Mrs. Sara Alice Morgan Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a mechanic and farmer, having been employed by Riggins Poultry. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville, where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of the adult choir. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Deana Carver Jackson of Yatesville; three sons, Chief Petty Officer John Edward Jackson of San Diego, Calif., Billy Dee Jackson (and Rhonda) of Barnesville and Kristopher Dewayne Jackson of Barnesville; grandchildren, Taylor N. Jackson of Kennesaw, Isaiah Jackson, Destiny Jackson and Selena Jackson of The Rock; one brother, Harold Jackson (and Pat) of Norcross; one niece, Karen Watterson (and Kevin) of Richmond, Va.; and one nephew, Stuart Jackson of Roswell. Funeral services for Mr. William ‘Bill’ Jackson were conducted Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Barnesville with the Rev. Garth Forster officiating. Interment followed in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family received friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday evening, Nov. 24, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Those who wish may view the memorial page and sign the guestbook online at williamsfh.net.
