William Lamar Boggs

Mr. William Lamar “Billy” Boggs, age 86, of Barnesville passed away Nov. 21, 2013 at his residence.He was born March 7,1927 to the late Mr. John Thomas Boggs and the late Mrs. Willie Jane Hardman Boggs. Mr. Boggs worked in the knitting department at the William Carter Company, was a veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church.Survivors include his wife, Georgina Stevenson Boggs of Barnesville; one daughter, Nancy E. Carter of Parker, Col.; one son, William Edward Boggs of Barnesville; four grandchildren, Pennie Boggs Buchanan of Clemmons, N.C., William Clayton Boggs of Barnesville, Elizabeth C. Mollman of Parker, Col., and Victoria A. Carter of Aurora, Col.; and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral services for Mr. William “Billy” Boggs were conducted Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Dana Overton-Garrett officiating. Interment was private.
