A Barnesville woman continues to recuperate after a June 23 collision witnesses say she caused by talking on her cell phone while driving. The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. at the dangerous intersection of Veterans Parkway and Grove Street in Barnesville. Linda Faye Pitts of 153 Aldora Street was westbound on Grove Street in a 1992 Chevy S-10 pickup and talking on the phone when she crossed the fourlane and into the path of a southbound 2000 Toyota Sienna van driven by Kurt William Zeiger of Tifton. Pitts was lifeflighted to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Charges are pending against her.
