A 19-year old Lamar County woman is in jail facing nine counts of first degree cruelty to children after her three-month-old daughter suffered a broken leg after allegedly being beaten against a headboard.UPDATE: Chief magistrate William Thomas denied bond for Gunn (aka Street) at a hearing late Tuesday afternoon.UPDATE: This has kicked up a storm on social media. Links inside…Sheriff Brad White reported Linda Jesica Gunn (aka Linda Jessica Street) of 366 Liberty Hill Rd., Lot 13 in Milner took her daughter, Victoria Gunn, to OrthoGeorgia in Griffin Monday morning to be seen by Dr. Tommy Hopkins for a possible broken leg. Dr. Hopkins advised Linda Gunn to take the child to Spalding Regional Hospital immediately.A staffer at OrthoGeorgia called the sheriff’s office to report the baby had “multiple bruises on her face, arms and legs and a broken femur”.Sheriff White and Sgt. Laura Hughes worked the case. White said Linda Gunn “beat her daughter against a headboard when she would not go to sleep”.The child was transferred to a children’s hospital in Atlanta, the sheriff said. If the child recovers, DFCS will take custody of it.Linda Gunn also has a known address of 366 English Rd., also in Milner.The incident report lists a Jeremy Alexander Street as a witness in the case.UPDATE:Judge Thomas denied bond noting, Gunn was “a serious risk to of committing other crimes and of intimidating witnesses.””These are serious, serious charges with serious, serious consequences where your baby is concerned,” the judge added.Gunn, who will turn 20 in about six weeks is already pregnant again according to her Facebook page. She could stay in jail until at least June when the next grand jury meets.Tearful, Gunn said only, “Yes, sir.
